This month, your trees are spread amongst the following 6 projects across 6 countries. Here are some brief insights into some of these projects: 

• In Kenya, we are planting trees with both the Green Belt Movement to restore key watersheds as well as with Sand Dams to plant trees with local communities in South East Kenya. 

• In Brazil, we are working with Instituto Espinhaço to restore the Atlantic Rainforest as well as the Cerrado Biome , all the while protecting watersheds and halting soil erosion.

• PS: Did you know that trees play a huge role in protecting and boosting water resources? In many of the landscapes where we work, we have seen water resources recharge just a few years after tree planting in that area. Here are a few videos where you can learn more about how the trees planted with your searches have an impact on water in Kenya and Uganda

• In Colombia, we have been working with Pur Projet since 2017 to support coffee producers by planting trees that provide shade for coffee crops. These trees not only help restore degraded lands but also provide communities an alternative source of income.

• In Nicaragua, our trees are planted by Fundación Dia in agroforestry systems around León to help restore volcano slopes and reduce pressure on old growth forests.

• In India, we are working with Symagine to support women entrepreneurship via community based nurseries and household tree planting in West Bengal.
